Guests consistently praise the resort's beautiful grounds, clean rooms, and spacious amenities, though service quality appears significantly inconsistent and some locations suffer from outdated facilities and unpleasant odors.
Still a beautiful hotel. We stayed here many times on family vacations when it was the Willow Valley Resort. Still a few elements - pool, chapel, pond from those days. Our room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. However service is lackluster. The person at check-in barely spoke and did not mention our Diamond status. The bartender was great but the breakfast staff were again lackluster - slowly and barely greeting us. I overheard two groups with particular needs getting limited service. The made to order chef would only make omelettes - nothing with egg whites. None of these are major - but not resort level service and a far cry from the days of Willow Valley Resort.
I was in the other day and a younger gentleman named Josh was my server! He said he was newer here but he still highly recommended the firecracker shrimp, and the salmon with mac and cheese for a side and it was delicious! Wonderful service from him and i’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.
I have stayed at this property a few times. What was the unpleasant smell in the hallways for the rooms? I stayed on the third floor, which is ground level. The minute you crossed over from the lobby to the hallway for the rooms, there was an unpleasant odor that never went away. I was grateful it did not smell in my room.
We travel pretty frequently for basketball tournaments, and this was my favorite hotel thus far. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are extremely accommodating and welcoming. The pool and water play area were immaculate, clean, huge, plenty of people could swim at once. The restaurant was great and our waiter was so wonderful we went back again the 2nd night! We had a great time and plan to return to this resort for future Spooky Nook tournaments.
I only dined in Maide which has improved 100%. Drinks were good and the food was delicious. I had salmon, so good. Everything was cooked perfect for me. The service was great , which always was and friendly employees.
Booked for Zenkaikon to be a tad away from the center of Lancaster- parking ease was a plus. Clean, hotel services were attentive. Jamaal at the Bistro restaurant was very nice, service was excellent.
My waiter Jamaal was phenomenal. Food was amazing. Service was outstanding and I can’t wait to bring my family back here again. I wish there was more stars available. I did one more.
Business traveler. Bottom line hotel needs a serious renovation. It’s just plain outdated. Rooms smell moldy. Carpets dirty. On my visit shower was slow to drain, elevator was not working, HVAC loud, and room smelled. First-timer plenty of better options in the area.
Still a beautiful hotel. I stayed here many times on family vacations when it was the Willow Valley Resort. The service was very warm and welcoming. I loved the chocolate chip cookie they give at check-in. My room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. It’s a great place for a solo or family getaway.
First time staying here and must say very impressed. Rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel had a restaurant and bar on location along with a coffee bar. Indoor pool which is a nice attraction especially during colder months. Located just outside the city but really not an issue with everything that is located right in the immediate area. Will be back
